Peacock Wild Ferment is a collection of earlier drinking, yet refined wines, crafted from selected small vineyards parcels across the cooler coastal areas of the Schapenberg & Helderberg regions. Named after the brightly plumed birds conspicuous in and around our biodynamic vineyards. on the farm. The range comprises of five generous wines that are rounder in character and more forward in style. These wines are fermented with wild yeast – an unusual find at their price point.
A wine that portrays typical varietal character, combined with a lovely elegance on the palate. On the nose, you can enjoy subtle red berries and a hint of chocolate and thyme. The palate has an elevated freshness and soft tannins, which are well integrated. The fruit also carries through on the finish. It’s great enjoyed on its own, but also pairs well with a variety of dishes – ranging from a simple meat lasagne dish to a juicy rump steak on the braai.
